Lot Maintenance of Oklahoma, Inc. was founded by Roman and Virginia Albert in 1978. The Albert’s saw a need for a reputable contractor for the city of Tulsa and they sought to fulfill that need. The success and growth of Lot Maintenance of Oklahoma Incorporated can be attributed almost exclusively to one factor: our reputation for quality work. It’s not that we lacked a carefully designed long-range plan when we went into business in 1978. It’s just that the good news about LMI got out before the ink was dry on our clever corporate strategy. LMI originally set out to distinguish itself as the most reliable sweeping contractor in the area. We quickly found that our customers wanted the same standard of reliability in a number of other services. Based on our reputation, and at the urging of our clients, we expanded our range of capabilities to become a full service maintenance contractor. Today, LMI provides complete commercial street and parking lot sweeping, right-of-way mowing, large scale landscaping, brushog and flail mowing, storm water system maintenance and repair, wood-chip hauling, brush removal and trimming, litter pick up and the list goes on and on. At LMI, we believe that business wisdom is the merging of experience and innovation. We vigilantly preserve those principals on which our reputation was built. We don’t just encourage new ideas, we insist on them. This solid combination of proven methods and thoughtful forecasting assures LMI customers the best possible service, even in the worst possible conditions. Today, the business remains a family venture. Roman and Virginia, along with their daughter, are still actively involved with the business.
